Canada's grain and oilseed exports show decrease
Export clearances of all grains and oilseeds shipped from Canada total 16,297,200 tonnes so far this marketing year, witnessing a slide of 2.66% compared to last year.
The findings were revealed in the latest report from the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC), which summarised weekly product movement through licensed primary and terminal elevator facilities for the week ending February 28.
Grower deliveries during the week included 475,700 tonnes of wheat; 77,800 tonnes of durum; 44,400 tonnes of oats; 63,200 tonnes of barley; 9,300 tonnes of flax; 279,300 tonnes of rapeseed; 17,700 tonnes of peas and 4,500 tonnes of corn.
The CGC pegged total exports during the week at 419,000 tonnes. On the grain side this included including 210,900 tonnes of wheat; 7,900 tonnes of durum; 11,100 tonnes of oats; 2,100 tonnes of barley and 100 tonnes of corn.
