Taiwan buys 60,000 tonnes of US corn
Taiwan's Members Feed Industry Group (MFIG), has bought 60,000 tonnes of US-origin corn from trading house Cargill in a tender concluded Tuesday, said a company official.
Cargill will supply 16,150 tonnes at US$135.92/tonne, cost and freight, while 43,850 tonnes will be supplied at a premium of 103.25 US cents a bushel above the Chicago Board of Trade July contract.
The shipment will arrive in Taiwan April 13-27 if it is shipped from the US Gulf or April 28-May 13 if the corn is shipped from the Pacific Northwest.
