Adisseo launches tailor-made training on feed enzymes

Adisseo has launched Rovabio® Enzyme Clinic, a unique tailor-made training based on scientific lectures and practical exercises on how to get the most from feed enzymes, conducted by Adisseo's nutritionists or technology experts.

Enzymes increase nutrient availability in feed and contribute to better animal performance, lower feed costs and reduce pollution. Since enzymes are highly specific proteins which work in very small quantities, it is necessary to have a precise knowledge of their modes of action, their nutritional implications and their handling properties for premix or feed applications.

For this reason, Adisseo, with its 17-year history in enzyme development and technology, has designed the Rovabio training programme, suitable for nutritionists, quality managers, feedmill managers and purchasers.

Adisseo customises and conducts a half-day or one-day training programme, depending on the customer's predefined needs, objectives of the training and the audience.

The training programme comprises of modules on topics from selection of the appropriate enzyme preparation, value extraction in formulation, and application technologies, to methods for checking the enzyme activity in complete feed.

The training includes presentations, videos and practical workshops on both non-starch polysaccharides (NSP) enzymes and phytases, as well as special tests developed by Adisseo to help in enzyme assessment.

The programme is officially recognised as a training course by the French authorities.

Hélène Lionet-Llorca, Adisseo's enzyme business unit director, highlighted the benefits of the programme.

"This training programme demonstrates the knowledge Adisseo has gained during the development of our Rovabio enzymes over the last 17 years. It is the result of our substantial investments in R&D, commitments to enzyme nutrition and application and collaboration with external partners. Most importantly, it includes all the different pieces of information and techniques that we have learned through close relationships with our customers from around the world, on the practical application of enzymes," she said.
