Vietnam issues circular on agricultural crop, livestock development
 

 

A joint circular which regulates the state supports on agricultural crop seeds and seedlings development, livestock breeds on the 2012-20 period has been issued by Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Planning and Investment.

 

According to the newly-issued document, the state budget will be provided to support up to 50% of production costs for original crop seeds or parent seeds for F1 production.

 

Production of hybrid crop seeds may get support up to 30% of all costs.

 

Regarding livestock breeding, the government will support up 50% of production costs for grandparent lines, and up 30% for parent line production.

 

Producers of parent lines of prawn and white-leg shrimp, pangasius fish and some other major aquatic species will receive up 50% of production costs from state budget.

 

Institutions and units working in these fields will receive financial supports from local banks. They also don't have to pay for renting fees for production land provided by the state in addition to exemption of irrigation fee.
