Russia bans untreated poultry from Hungary
Russia's animal health authority has banned imports of Hungarian poultry products that have not been heat treated at a temperature of 70 degrees Celsius or more, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.
The ban effective March 4 follows an outbreak of bird flu at a poultry farm in the Hungarian county of Békés in late February.
According to Attila Csorbai, the head of Hungarian Poultry Products Council, the ban affects a few thousand tons of Hungarian poultry.
