Demand for lysine continued to stay weak while supplies increased as a few new plants began production. Several producers therefore negotiated prices to compete for orders. In Europe, prices of spot deliveries remained in the range of EUR2-2.05/kg while Q2 orders were priced at EUR1.94-1.96/kg.
