Salmonella found in three egg farms in Finland

Salmonella was found in chicken faeces samples taken from three Finnish egg farms in February 2009.

Finnish egg packer Munakunta has stopped egg collection at the farms and all eggs from packing stations have been withdrawn from circulation.

According to the Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira, the salmonella was found in the chickens, not in the eggs.
