Russia's grain exports doubled in 2007
Russia exported a total of 16.7 million tonnes of grain last year, up 49.5 percent against 2006 volume, the Federal Statistics Service said.
Preliminary data show that in total, grain resources in Russia improved by 1.9 percent last in 2007, mainly driven by 4-percent grain yield increase.
Russia harvested 81.8 million tonnes of grain last year against 78.6 million tonnes in 2006.
