Ukraine company aims to be top grain exporter
Ukraine grain firm JSC Khlib Ukrainy has expressed optimism that the company will receive the status of a state grain exporter.
Khlib Ukrainy Board Chairman Viktor Bondarenko said on March 2 that the company is preparing to become a state grain trader under international agreements.
He said that the company has to fulfil a financial readjustment which will conform to the government and the parliament to receive its status of being state grain trader.
Bondarenko said the situation does not concern receiving a state agent function on the domestic grain market, which the Agrarian Fund and the state committee for state material reserve fulfil.
He said that the company hopes to start operating as a state grain trader in the next marketing year.
