China Swine & Pork Products - Industry Supply Chain Evaluation

A Longitudinal Study

China is the world's largest pig producer. It has half of the world's pig population, yet the country is set to import record volumes of pork in coming years to supplement its insufficient supplies. The gargantuan appetite for pork in China is bound to get bigger as rural per capita meat consumption, now at half the level of urban cities, grows further with rising incomes and improved living standards in provincial cities and inland regions.

China's swine to pork industry is one of the most dynamic sectors in the country, luring investments not only from local and international agribusinesses, but also from opportunistic investors such as IT gurus and multi billion fund managers. The swine to pork industry supply chain is under constant scrutiny by policy makers and economists as pork products make up about 68% of meat consumed in the country.

eFL Research China swine & pork products industry supply chain evaluation is a comprehensive and continual observation study of the various components of the industry supply chain across key production provinces of China. Regular in-depth analyses and insights generated would be of interest to meat exporters and importers, feed and livestock enterprises, feed additives suppliers and animal nutritionists, pork buyers and retailers, agribusiness analysts and economists.
