South Africa's AFGRI Poultry to supply chicken to KFC

South Africa's AFGRI Poultry has been appointed as the supplier to KFC fast food restaurant under Yum Brands.

This positions AFGRI Poultry, the broiler producing and processing arm of listed South African agricultural services and foods group AFGRI Limited,as the third preferred supplier of chicken product to Yum brands and augments AFGRI's existing status as a decade-long supplier of quality oil to Yum through its Nedan oil extraction operation.

"The relationship with Yum is extremely important for AFGRI and being able to expand our current relationship into chicken products is something we are extremely happy about," says Venter.

"This announcement, together with the appointment of Izaak Breitenbach as MD of AFGRI Poultry reflects our commitment to the poultry business", concludes Venter.
