China to extend 1 percent soy import duty until Sep 30

China's Ministry of Finance said Wednesday on its website that the 1-percent soy import duty will be extended to Sept. 30.

China cut the import duty on soy since late 2007 to 1 percent from 3 percent, hoping to curb rising inflation pressure due to an increase in food prices.
