Draper Valley Farms markets natural chicken
Draper Valley Farms has announced that its chicken products are now labelled as being fed with vegetarian diets, raised without antibiotics and added hormones, and contains no preservatives.
The company has improved its practise standards due to consumers becoming more aware of poultry raising practises and what goes into their chicken, according to Bob Wolfe, vice president and general manager of Draper Valley Farms.
The company said its chickens are raised without ionophores, a federally approved feed ingredient used to prevent an intestinal illness in chickens.
Based in Mount Vernon-Washington, Draper Valley Farms raises and processes chickens, which include free-range chickens. It has been converting its operations to this new standard of chicken since October 2007.
