China's Ruijin to build slaughterhouse in Hainan
In a purchase agreement signed last Friday (Feb 29), China's Ruijin Agriculture Development Company will invest in a one-million-head/year hog slaughtering plant, with production technology acquired from Denmark's SFK.
First-phase construction of the RMB500-million plant, located in Dengmai district in the southern Chinese province of Hainan, is scheduled to begin on April 18 this year. Once full-scale operation commences, this plant will produce RMB2.5 billion worth of processed pork products annually.
