Japan buys 105,000 tonnes of wheat in tender

 

 

Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) bought 105,000 metric tons of milling wheat in a tender concluded Thursday, an MAFF official said.

 

MAFF bought 45,000 tons of US wheat to be shipped between April 16-May 15, plus 20,000 tons of Canadian wheat and 40,000 tons of Australian wheat for May 1- May 30 shipment, the official said.

 

MAFF also bought 20,000 tons of Australian food barley, the official added.
