South Korea Kocopia seeks up to 55,000 tonnes corn in tender

Seoul-based Korea Corn Processing Industry Association, or Kocopia, will seek up to 55,000 tonnes of optional-origin corn in a buy tender to be held at 0700 GMT Friday, said a trader who received the tender notice.

Kocopia will buy one cargo of non-genetically modified corn for human consumption to arrive at the port of Incheon June 10, the trader said.

Suppliers can choose to provide either 52,500 tonnes of Chinese corn or 55,000 tonnes of corn from other origins, the trader added.
