The Russian government issued Resolution #918, increasing the over quota pork and poultry meat duties and decreases duties on over quota beef, reports the US Department of Agriculture.
The resolution also reduces the total poultry import tariff rate quota (TRQ) volume by 300,000 tonnes, cutting US' share of the TRQ by 750,000 tonnes from 931,000 tonnes. Overquota duty on chilled and frozen beef will be lowered on January 1 to 30 percent but not less than 0.30 euros per kilogramme, while pork imports exceeding the quota will increase from 40 percent but not less than 0.55 euros per kilogram to 75 percent but no less than 1.5 euros per kilogram. Duty on poultry imports meanwhile will increase to 95 percent but not less than 0.8 euros per kilogramme from of the previous rate of 40 percent but not less than 0.32 euros per kilogramme.
