South Australia farmers to pay storage fees on feed grain oversupply
South Australian grain farmers waiting for price improvements may be penalised by having to pay storage fees, an industry consultant warned.
Farm industry consultant Robert Rees expects feed barley prices to stop increasing for sometime due to a global oversupply of feed grain.
Rees said the fee for storing grain in ABB facilities is minimal but it is a cost that wil reduce the farmers' return.
