Grieg Seafood ASA posts operating loss of US$28.3 million
Norway's Grieg Seafood ASA published its year-end figures on Friday (Feb 27), posting an operating loss of US$28.3 million, as compared to a profit of US$10.7 million in 2007.
The result was dragged down by currency losses and write-downs in the fourth quarter.
Sales revenues amounted to NOK1,477.03 million, as compared to NOK1,021.81 million in the previous year.
Earnings per share amounted to a loss of NOK4.42, down from a profit of NOK0.79 in 2007.
Grieg Seafood, headquartered in Bergen, Norway, is an international seafood company with production in Norway, Canada and the UK.
