South Korea's Maeil dairy sees net profit surge 70 percent in 2004

Maeil Dairy Industry Co., which is a leading milk producer in South Korea, said on Wednesday that its net profit surged 69.5 per cent year-on-year to 30.5 billion won (US$30.32 million) last year.

Operating profit also jumped 37.3 percent to 23.8 billion won, while sales edged down 0.3 per cent to 677.3 billion won, it said in a public disclosure.
