Ukraine ships 16 million tonnes of grain

Since the 2009-10 marketing year that began July 2009 and would end June 2010, Ukraine has exported 16.252 million tonnes of grain crops.

In the same period of the previous fiscal year, Ukraine exported 15.9 million tonnes of grains. As of February 26, Ukraine exported 7.551 million tonnes of wheat, 4.432 million tonnes of barley, and 4.07 million tonnes of corn.

In February this year, the Agricultural Policy Ministry raised its grain export forecast by two million tonnes or 10% to 22 million tonnes in the 2009-10 marketing year.
