Morocco tenders to buy 200,000 tonnes US soft wheat

Morocco's state wheat buyer, the Office National Interprofessional des Cereales et des Legumineuses (ONICL), said Thursday it is tendering to buy 200,000 tonnes of US soft wheat, plus or minus 10 percent.

The wheat is for shipment before the end of May, ONICL said in a statement.

The tender is to take place within the framework of the tariff rate quota agreed between Morocco and the US in January 2006, with the deadline for bids being Mar 21.

ONICL is also tendering to buy 85,000 tonnes of US durum wheat for the same date of delivery, with the deadline for bids being Mar 14.
