Ukraine groats price increase following hike in grain costs
Ukrainian groats market sees bullish trend due to the rise of prices in grain, informed experts of IA APK-Inform.
Operators of the market don't fix demand activation, so that the increasing of prices for groats is forced.
According to IA "APK-Inform" data average selling price for wheat groats is fixed within range of 1150 hryvnia UAH (US$227) to 1250 UAH (US$247) per tonne at ex-elevator, pearled and peeled barley are offered at 1200 UAH (US$237) to 1250 UAH (US$247) per tonne at the same terms.
High prices for oatmeal, millet and peas are determined by the deficit of grain on the domestic market for groats production and lack of their import.
