Cargill launches website aimed to educate consumers

Cargill has launched a website aimed at teaching consumers about the product, fielding their questions and fuelling an on-going conversation.

CargillGroundBeef.com will include details about beef production, food safety and nutrition. It will include more consumer marketing elements, such as food preparation tips, contests and promotions such as coupons. The site also is designed to allow consumers to share content via Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

"The goal is to engage, inspire, educate, incentivise and partner with consumers responsible for feeding themselves and their families," the company said.

Cargill conducted consumer research in planning and designing the site, which showed that more and more consumers are using digital technology to find information, recipes and answers to questions, and using digital devices while preparing meals in the kitchen.
