China methionine market quiet, suppliers negotiate prices

Prices of methionine were lower during the week ending February 26.

Methionine market was quiet after Chinese New Year as buyers relied on stocks accumulated before the holidays. Suppliers reduced prices to entice buyers but sales did not improve by a lot.
 

Price quotes of imported dl-methionine dropped to the range of RMB29.40-30/kg.

Methionine market is poised to stay on weak trends in the coming period.
