Lysine prices edge down on light demand in China

Lysine prices were marginally lower during the week ending February 26.

Trade was light over the past two weeks as several buyers and producers only resumed operation recently. Prices of lysine edged down while demand remained flat with most feed millers possessing ample stocks.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were mainly in the range of RMB13.10-13.55/kg.

Lysine sales will be limited with buyers having sufficient stocks and feed consumption dropping to annual-low levels.
