Oil hike leads to rising prices of poultry products in Philippines

The latest increase in oil prices has led to a rise in the retail prices of meat and other poultry products in the Philippines.

Prices of pork, chicken, fish and beef have grown by as much as P10 per kilo in some parts of Manila like Quiapo.

The price of pork increased from P140 to P150 per kilo; chicken from P95 to P100 per kilo; fish from P90 to P100 per kilo; and beef from P180 to P200 per kilo.

This price hike follows oil companies' decision to jack up pump prices of gasoline products on Friday and this weekend.
