Pork sales in Thailand expected to drop due to rising prices
Thai pork retailers are expecting sales to go down due to rising prices and lack of supply.
A pork retailer said pork prices could increase in the next few months as supplies could dwindle from a high demand.
More consumers are turning to poultry as it is cheaper than pork, said Sombat Toemsukthawin, a poultry retailer.
Many retailers have suggested to the government to introduce an export control measure on pork.
