USDA says 100,000 tonnes of soybeans sold to Japan in 2007/08
Private exporters reported to the US Department of Agriculture export sales of 100,000 tonnes of soybeans for delivery to Japan during the 2007/08 marketing year, the USDA said Monday (Feb 26).
The 2007/08 marketing year for soybeans begins Sep 1.
US exporters are required to report to the USDA sales of 100,000 tonnes or more of any commodity made in the same day to the same destination by 3:00 pm. EST (2000 GMT) the next business day, according to the USDA's Foreign Agriculture Service. Any export sales under 100,000 ons must be reported on a weekly basis.
