Cabana Argentina to build its second processing plant
Argentina's biggest pork producer Cabana Argentina has purchased 38-hectare worth 1.2 million pesos for its second processing plant in General Las Hueras City in Buenos Aires.
The company has already has another plant in San Andres de Giles, which is considered as the second biggest pork plant in the country, following La Pompeya.
In addition, Cabana Argentina also has a swine farm in Roque Perez that has 6,000 gestating sows that produces 12,000 castrated pigs a month.
Marketing chief Gustavo Nogues said said the construction of the second plant will start between end 2007 and early 2008. The official, however, didn't specify the amount in the construction.
