Beijing's soybean products record low qualification rate
Beijing's Food Safety Office announced on February 26 that Beijing departments had carried out strict sampling inspections of key food products, including pork, glutinous rice balls, cakes, alcohol, edible salt, spices, processed meat products, aquatic products and children's foodstuffs during the Lunar New Year holidays.
A total of 1,299 food samples were inspected, with the general product sampling qualification rate reaching 98.3 percent. All rice, edible oil, fresh meat, processed meat, cake and flour products, which are used in households on a daily basis, met the relevant standards. However, the product sampling qualification rate of soybean products was comparatively low, only reaching 94.44 percent.
