Bird flu found in Cambodia's ducks
The bird flu virus has been found in several dead ducks in Cambodia's Kompong Cham province, officials confirmed on Friday.
Yim Venthan, secretary of state of Ministry of Agriculture, said tests on several dead ducks indicted the H5N1 virus.
He said the government has culled all remaining 200 ducks in the village.
The government will continue its surveillance of the area, Yim Venthan said. However he added that culling may prove difficult in future as villagers fear no compensation will be made.
Bird flu has killed four people in Cambodia since late2003.
