Vietnam's Dam Doi district to expand shrimp farm acreage

 

 

This year, Dam Doi, a district of Ca Mau province in Vietnam, eyes to add more 9,500 hectares for innovated extensive shrimp production, as the district has had nearly 1,000 hectares of new farming area so far.

 

This is according to Vietnam Association of Seafoods Export Processors (VASEP).

 

Local authorities guide farmers with raising techniques to increase shrimp yield. Local farmers are also trained how to select free-disease seeds, renovate grow-out ponds for the new farming season.
