Russia to set zero duty on grain imports until July 1, 2013

 


The duration of the zero duty on grain imports was offered by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia to be set until July 1, 2013.

 

This was announced by Nikolai Fedorov, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on February 20.

 

He added that to date all required documents on the matter are under consideration of the subcommittee on customs-tariff and non-tariff regulation, protective measures in foreign trade of the Government of Russia. The issue is expected to complete in the following one to two weeks, followed by introduction of the matter to the Eurasian Economic Commission for the further harmonisation with representatives of Kazakhstan and Belarus.
