Goias crushers in Brazil want farmers to reduce soy exports
Soy crushers in Goias in central Brazil want growers in the Brazilian state to reduce exports of the grain in order to meet local crush demand.
These companies are proposing that the government adopts measures that reduce some of soy's export advantages in the state.
The soy farmers, meanwhile, claim that their direct exports represent only a very small part of the total harvested.
Both parties are scheduled to meet next week at the Goias Farming Federation
