China's calcium phosphate, calcium biphosphate prices stable

An eFeedLink Exclusive Report

Prices of calcium phosphate and calcium biphosphate in China remained stable in recent weeks.  As of Feb 22, ex-factory prices of calcium phosphate and calcium biphosphate issued by the Sichuan Longmang Group were at RMB1,600/ton and RMB2,650/ton respectively.

At Sichuan Chuanheng Group, issue prices of calcium phosphate and calcium biphosphate were at RMB1,540/ton and RMB 2,550/ton respectively; those issued by Guizhou Zhenda were at RMB1,600/ton and RMB 2,600/ton respectively.

China has begun to firm up standards in mining management, which apply to privately-owned phosphate companies in the south-west. Transport limitations and a temporary labour shortage from a prolonged festive break have pushed supplies lower.

Consumption during the post-festive period is usually low and prices of calcium phosphate are seen to remain weak to steady. From late March, however, possible electricity restrictions and increased aquatic feed consumption may cause prices of calcium phosphate to strengthen.
