Roxell develops new feeder pan for heavy broilers

Roxell, the global market leader in feeding and drinking systems for poultry farms, has developed a new feeder pan for heavy broilers weighing over 3 kg (6 lbs). Heavy broilers are bred mainly in the US and such European countries as Italy, Germany and Poland.

Ben Dehaeck, product specialist Broilers at Roxell, said the new feeding system "meets the need for greater feed intake at the end of the flock".

"A number of modifications to the existing HaiKoo pan enables the new pan to hold twice the amount of feed compared with the standard pan. Better access to the feed results in better growth results", he added.

The oval shape of the HaiKoo pan allows the broilers to optimally use the available house space whilst facilitating access to the drinking lines.

With the development of this new feeding system, the Belgium-based company takes yet another important step in its innovation strategy and the further development of the US and European poultry market.
