Ukraine exports over 12 million tonnes grains 

Ukraine's grain traders and agricultural firms already exported 12.5 million tonnes of grains under the planned contracts of 20.5 million tonnes in the current marketing year, stated the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

According to Minister Nikolai Prysiazhnyuk, in February 2012 Ukraine exported 1.2 million tonnes of grains, in January - two million tonnes.

As a reminder, the USDA lowered the forecast of wheat exports from Ukraine in 2011/12 marketing year to the level of six million tonnes. The previous analysis allowed the export volume of seven million tonnes.
