US exports 120,000 tonnes of corn to China
US private exporters sold 120,000 tonnes of corn to China and another 110,744 tonnes to unknown destinations during the 2011-12 marketing year, the USDA said Thursday (Feb 23).
The marketing year for corn began September 1.
US exporters must report any US or optional origin export sales activity of at least 100,000 tonnes - except 20,000 tonnes or more for soyoil - made in one day to a single destination by the following business day. Sales of smaller quantities must be reported weekly to USDA Foreign Agricultural Service.
