APK Invest's 2010 pork output boosts by more than threefold

 

 

The APK Invest agro-industrial company in Ukraine's Donetsk region boosted last year's pork production 3.2 times or by 9,300 tonnes, against 2009, to 13,500 tonnes.

 

"In 2010, the APK Invest agro-industrial company produced 13,500 tonnes of pork," the company stated.

 

The statement also cites data of the State Statistics Service that close to 15,000 tonnes of pork was produced in Ukraine in 2010. Thus, the company accounted for approximately 9% of the domestic production of pork in 2010.

 

A representative of the company said that APK Invest produced 4,200 tonnes of pork in 2009.

 

Earlier, APK Invest plans to invest UAH3.5 billion (US$440.61 million) in development before 2015.

 

APK Invest is a vertically integrated agro-industrial company possessing a livestock breeding complex, a feed factory, and a meat-processing factory. It makes products under own trademarks of Meat Spring and Kovbaskharchoprom; runs own chain of Meat Spring shops.

 

The Ukrinvest closed joint-stock company holds 75% of the shares of the APK Invest closed joint stock company.
