Malaysia to import poultry from Brazil
Malaysia's Department of Agriculture has inspected Brazilian poultry plants this week with the intention to prepare for meat imports from Brazil.
Malaysia is likely to open its market to Brazilian chicken meat within the next three months, according to Brazil's association of poultry meat producers and exporters, UBABEF.
Malaysian inspectors have just ended their visits to some 18 poultry plants, as well as facilities run by BRF-Brasil Foods, Doux Frangosul and Seara/Marfrig.
