Swedish Meats reports increased sales
Sweden's largest meat company Swedish Meats, which was recently taken over by the Finnish pork processor H K Ruokatalo saw sales rise to over SEK 10 billion (US$1.41 billion) last year.
Sales went up from SEK 8.872 billion to SEK 10.038 billion and operating profit rose from SEK 59 million to SEK 163 million.
Last year saw a closer integration of slaughtering, cutting and consumer-packed meat and structural changes and investments resulting in a performance improvement of SEK 86 million.
Swedish Meats closed its subsidiary Skanekott in Skurup and completed the acquisition of SLP Parsons last year.
