Russia's Omsk region to improve dairy farming
In order to enhance dairy farming in Omsk region in Russia, 27 livestock facilities have to remodel or build the region with plans to put in place 10 modern milking parlours this year.
More than RUB600 million (US$19.7 million) will be put in dairy capital investments. Exclusively, production of milk premium is planned to produce modernised economy, and on the 2000 plan to increase production in the province.
To be able to increase the productivity of the dairy herd, the region is to prepare for a conditional head - unconcentrated feed about 40 quintals of feed units, an area of ​​not less than 25% of the total, to finish the plowing and sowing of perennial grasses, and that is not so important to balance the ration of feeding cattle.
