Ukraine sees improvement in cattle figures
Ukraine continues to stabilise and increase the stock of cattle as it did in 2012.
By the end of this year, the stock of cattle will increase to about 2%, or up to 4.6 million heads. In particular, it is planned that the most growth will occur in the livestock farms of individuals by 2.4%.
Due to the effective implementation of the state programme of livestock revival last year, the country managed to consolidate the trend of gradual revival of beef and dairy cattle.
In particular, the number of cattle increased by 1.8%, or by 78.1 thousand. As of January 1, in Ukraine, there is 4503.9 thousand heads of cattle in all categories of farms.
