JBS appoints Gilberto Tomazoni as global poultry business president

JBS SA announces to its shareholders and to the market in general the hiring of Gilberto Tomazoni who will take charge of the company's global operations in the poultry business from March 7, 2013 onwards.

 

Tamazoni will report directly to Wesley Mendonça Batista, global CEO of JBS S.A. His primarily goal will be to strategically position the company in this market.
 

Tomazoni has extensive experience and knowledge of the food industry. He worked for 27 years at Sadia S.A., four of which as CEO, where he participated actively in the company's internationalisation and in the development of its brands in Brazil and abroad. During the past three years he served as vice president of Bunge Alimentos, managing the business of food and ingredients, accumulating the position of executive director for Central and South America.

He has broad knowledge of the poultry business and will provide a relevant contribution to JBS to broaden our global perspective in this segment, "said Wesley Batista, global CEO of JBS S.A.
