Dutch company to build new hatchery
Verbeek's Hatchery will build a new layer hatchery, which will have a capacity of 30 million chicks per year.
The new hatchery, which can be expanded to a capacity of 40 million chicks, will be built in Zeewolde.
It will replace the current hatchery located in Lunteren, which has become too small due to continuous growth.
The new hatchery is expected to be ready at the end of 2009.
Verbeek's Hatchery has been actively servicing the layer industry across the Netherlands for several decades.
