China's 2015 fertiliser demand to hit 66.1 million tonnes

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently released the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-2015) for the fertiliser sector which states that the country's fertiliser demand will go up to 66.1 million tonnes in 2015.

The country will also boost its fertiliser output to 69.1 million tonnes/year and fertiliser output capacity to 77.6 million tonnes in 2015.

China's demand for fertilisers is likely to reach 66.1 million tonnes in 2015, according to the 12th Five-Year Plan for the fertiliser industry released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

Specifically, the country's demand for nitrogen fertiliser will be 43.5 million tonnes in 2015, phosphate fertiliser 14.9 million tonnes, and potash fertiliser 7.7 million tonnes.
