Vietnam's HSI posts 21% profit growth in 2011

General Materials Biochemistry Fertilizer JSC (HSI) reported a consolidated net profit of VND23.8 billion (US$1.13 million) in 2011, up 21.1% on-year.

Revenues increased 16.5% on-year to VND990.08 billion (US$47.6 billion) in 2011, HSI said in its consolidated quarterly financial report.

The full-year earnings per share were VND2,408 (US$0.16)

In the fourth quarter, HSI earned a net profit of VND2.2 billion (US$100 million) on revenues of VND225.63 billion (US$10.8 billion), down 58% and 12.8% on-year, respectively.

At end-2011, its total assets soared 38.1% from end-2010 to VND839.14 billion (US$40.3 billion), including equity of VND152.85 billion (US$7.3billion).
