Big Dutchman's exhaust air washer acquires Dutch certification
Press release
Big Dutchman's exhaust air washer MagixX, a new combination system to reduce dust, ammonia, and odour emissions originating from pig houses has recently passed Dutch certification.
The study's results have gotten the nod of the Dutch Department of Environment and Agriculture after comparisons of three combi-systems from different manufacturers. The accrued data of Big Dutchman was the only one approved by the department.
The efficiency of the product as against other air washers has also been confirmed by the renowned Wageningen University through an independent scientific study.
According to the university's scientists, the Big Dutchman washer reduces fine dust (PM 2.5) by more than 90 percent. "This result is of even more value as the measuring criteria that were applied are much stricter than those applied in Germany" said Big Dutchman product manager Andreas Kerssens.
The final report also stated good results in reduction of ammonia: the measured degree of efficiency of MagixX lies at more than 90 percent which means that the ammonia concentration of the filtered exhaust air is so low that it is hardly traceable anymore.
The final report of the study is available in Dutch and English under the following link:
