Pakistan initiating zero-rate sales tax on poultry products
Pakistan's Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will allow zero-rated sales tax on imports and local supply of value-added poultry products to reduce prices for domestic consumers.
The products will include frozen and preserved sausages, meat, and offal.
The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved the zero-rating of sales tax on certain products. The board would be amending the notification for extending the zero-rate facility to those products.
